HUD is launching a free 4-hour training program on Safe Rehabilitation of Hurricane-Damaged Homes for homeowners, contractors and volunteers on safely rehabilitating homes damaged by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Starting in April 2007, courses will be offered at many locations around New Orleans. The training gives step-by-step instructions on safe and proper cleanup and mold removal; and practical tips to avoid fraudulent contractors. Contact the training provider for more information.
